Teacher Gifts

Thursday, December 18, 2008

Here are the teacher gifts I will be giving Raegan's teacher and assistant.Cameron's teachers got the same thing but I put the bread loaf in a tin that I got at target and decorated it. It was so pretty but I didn;t have time to take a picture this morning. Raegan and I hung out at Cameron's school today which explains why I didn't have time we were rushing like crazy. Cameron had his Christmas party and book exchange and Reagan looked like she was part of the class as she was able to participate in all of the games, ice cream cone tree decorating and pizza eating. She had a blast!
Has anyone else been like majorly busy with Christmas parties, plays and shopping? I sure have but I love it! I have been working on a Christmas gift for a family member that I can't wait to share. I would post but that person (hmmm , mom) is a reader of my blog so I can't share yet.
Take time to relax - that's what I keep telling myself but I can't right now.
I get so excited around Christmas time I can't help it!!! :)
Thanks to everyone that sent birthday wishes to me on Monday. I had a great day, my hubby gave me a journey necklace it is sooo pretty. I will share a picture as soon as I take one.
Thanks for stopping by!

PEACE Tag Banner

Tuesday, December 9, 2008

I made this banner using my cricut cartridges - tags, bags and more and calligraphy collection. I basically just covered the tags with designer paper, ribbon and snowflakes using my Martha Stewart snowflake punch.
I decided to make this banner to add something to the garland I had hanging up, now it's not so plain! ha ha ha
It took me less than 10 minutes to do this and that includes the cutting with the cricut! woot woot
Enjoy and thanks for looking!

Happy Holidays Gift Bag

Monday, December 8, 2008

I made this gift bag with my cricut -accent essentials cart! I decorated it with creative basic paper from CTMH and a felt snowflake I got at Hobby Lobby. You probably can't tell in the picture but the sentiment says Happy Holidays which came from our Gracious Greetings stamp set also from CTMH. The bag is tied together with red raffia.
Enjoy and thanks for looking!

As if I need another hobby!

Friday, November 28, 2008

But I just had to take shot at beading! This is my first ensemble and I'm quite proud of the outcome. I was thinking before starting this, how hard could it be to just thread some beads on a string right?! So I go on my shopping excursion and bought all of what I thought I needed - not! Well after trying almost 10 times and the help of an instructor at Michaels, I finally got it. I have to give a big thanks to crimp beads - they were my saving grace and the one thing I didn't know existed but found so much easier!! I will definitely do more but will have the crimp beads until I learn a different way to seal the ends! No more loose beads on the floor thanks to and Michaeals employee and CRIMP BEADS!
I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving!

Kid tested and mother approved

Wow, two posts in one day! I had to share these two toys that Cameron and Raegan got for Raegan's birthday. Yeah, you heard right, Cameron got gifts too thanks to my sister and mom.
They are having a blast with these two gifts. They really like seeing themselves on TV!! The remote control trucks are rubber so no hurting/scratching the walls and they flip and bounce!

I still can't believe she is three already! Time sure does fly and I'm trying to capture as many memories as possible. I love my kids so much, only a mother can feel what I feel. It is truly a blessing to have them in my life.
On her birthday, we were on our way to the gym and for about three minutes tears of joy fell from my eyes, that was just how happy I was and it hit me all of a sudden. Wow!
Sorry, didn't mean to ramble just wanted to share pictures of my princess!
Hope your having a great day!

Raegan and her purse

Thursday, November 20, 2008

Raegan was so excited about her purse, okay, maybe just what was in it but I was excited after I finished it because it was super easy and easy to decorate! Like I said it was a template I purchased from papertrey ink another place I love to shop.
The purse actually holds alot, I was able to fit three star shaped containers of lipgloss, petite ceramin tea set, necklace, bracelet, and a memo pad with a pen. I assembled it with tacky tape so it's very sturdy!
This is a pic of the purse and card I made Raegan for her third birthday!

Inspired Blueprints - Sketch #1

Have you been stuck in a rut and can't get your creative juices going? Well I have been until I found this new site called Inspired Blueprints! It is fairly new but have sketches for you to try and you can also upload them to the gallery to be randomly picked for some sort of prize! The layout design team is fabulous and they have some awesome sketches. They are on #4 right now ( they just added that one yesterday) but I wanted to start with the first one. Go check it out.
Here is my first sketch, totally out of my zone as far as layouts but it was quick! I actually think I might start doing my layouts this was instead of the boxy fill up all the space type layouts.
Anyway enjoy and don't forget to look at the blog inspiredblueprints.typepad.com

God Bless the UNITED States of America!!

Tuesday, November 4, 2008

America has voted!! Now, my hope is that President Elect Barack Obama will continue to unite the country and move America into a new direction.
One thing that no one can deny no matter what your political position and how you feel about Obama, he has united all origins. Just looking at the crowd and how diverse it was was simply amazing. This truly is the best place on earth.
Have a Great Day

Christmas Pillow Box

Friday, October 31, 2008

Today I decided to use this pillow box I traced from a stash of pillowe boxes I bought during our (CTMH) clearance sale. I am sooo glad I bought these boxes! They came in white but I wanted a black box so I traced it on black cardstock, scored and cut it. I have also been wanting to ink up my December word puzzle (CTMH) stamp set and this is what was formed from the two!
I think it came out pretty cute and will probably go to Cameron and Raegan's teachers.
Putting this box together and buying the little Christmas trees from Hobby Lobby this week has certainly put me in the Christmas spirit. I know, I know we haven't even made it through Thanksgiving but it is just something special about CHRISTmas!

Cameron and Raegan's Assembly line

Saturday, October 25, 2008

Yes, I had Cameron and Raegan help me with treat bags for their friends. They helped fill the bags with candy, play-doh and glow in the dark rings!
I had mentioned in an earlier post that I had planned on doing the treat bag posted about two weeks ago- well I had a change of plans. I got my Scor-pal last Saturday and could not pass up this super easy treat bag I saw on the website. I was able to get 3 bags per sheet of paper instead of 1 - should I say more. ha ha ha
To make these bags:
Cut a 4x11 sheet of paper and score at 4, 8, and 9 1/2 on the 11" side
punch a hole(for the ribbon) 1/2 inch in on each side of the 4" line and knot your ribbon.
Fold on the scor lines and voila - you're done!
I purchased the clear bags from hobby lobby in the cake decor section for 1.99 for 100 bags.
Oh - to attach the clear bags, just put a glue dot on the bag to attach it to the cardstock.
Again, this was super duper easy and I will definitely be doing these again!
Hope you enjoy!

Thank You Nugget Tin

I made this nugget tin for one of DaMonds classmates. He and his classmate were studying and his classmates wife made a chocolate dessert for DaMond to bring home. I thought that was very thoughtful and who doesn't love chocolaet so I returned the favor by making this nugget tin filled with Hershey toffee nuggets! They are sooo yummy!

Thanks for looking.

Have a great day!

I I made these apple cards(used my cricut) with dum dum lollipops attached for Cameron's class. This week was apple week at his school and they had a different activity each day including making apple pies which I helped with. It was quite an adventure having 18 kids in a kitchen at school. Neverless it was fun and the apple pies turned out great. This lollipop will be a welcomed treat today for all of their "hard work" this week!

We made it to Oklahoma and my oh my!!!

Tuesday, August 19, 2008

Hey everybody!! We made it to Oklahoma. We are still looking for a home and the search, well let's just say we'll be in the hotel for a few more days!! I tell you i really did not prepare myself for the lack of knowledge we have received from the real estate agencies here.
Today was not a good day for house looking. Some of the things the normal person would ask for seem foreign to some of these people. For example 1) good schools(cameron starts pre-school this year he's 4)2)good daycare/church with a pre-school program. 3)areas that are growing. These are just a few examples!!
We went to Verizon to buy new phones because i really needed another one and DaMond just wanted to update his to a blackberry - not good. So we buy two blackberrys and switch our service from alltel to verizon because they will soon be one b/c verizon is buying alltel. Well long story short and 3 hours later, the guy can't tranfer my phone numbers to my BLACKBERRY!!
What's up with that??? He say's they don't have the cord to fit my phone to transfer my numbers!! Totally not my day!!
In the meantime DaMomnd is just loading is stuff on his phone and i'm adding numbers to mine.
Luckily DaMond felt sorry for me (because he was the one who really wanted to switch) so he's loading my numbers!! yea!
You really needed to be here to hear some of the things these ladies were telling us at this real estate agency. Later tonight DaMond and I laughed about it but it was not funny when it was happening. We were completely in awe at some of the answers we were receiving today.
Good night all, hopefully I will be back to scrapping soon.
Hopefully we will have a better day tomorrow
