What a day!

Tuesday, January 20, 2009

Hopefully it's a new day! Today has been such a historical day from many aspects. I spent the day just enjoying the moment and educating Cameron and Raegan.
No matter what your politcal belief is no one can deny that today so many people are inspired, have hope, want to serve, want change and have dreams that they didn't have before today. Today it is official that we have a new Commander in Chief, President Barack Obama!
Have a great night

My take on Project 365

Saturday, January 10, 2009

So here is my take on Project 365. I wanted to do this project so bad that I have been doing the prep work for the last few days. Along with the Project 365 from Becky, I also had thoughts about doing the project that was seen on CTMH TV (the last Art and Soul). So what did I do, I put them both together! Each month will consist of a layout, calendar (for extra journaling and capturing the memories that were not caputured on camera) and a photo and journaling for each day of the year.
As you can see the journal cards are simply 4X6 cut in half. The journal stamp in CTMH new stamp set Key to my Heart works perfectly for this space.
I will alternate color combos for each month so the whole scrapbook will not consist of the same colors and to keep me from getting board! LOL
Some of the pics from week 2 are missing because it is going to be easier to print them out and the end of the month! I also have a planner that I am doing the journaling in and then I will add it to my cards. I'm doing this so I won't forget to journal and besides it's easier to having the planner handy.
Now on to the deets!
Stamps sets used were - Key to my Heart, large and small friendship alpha, and noteworthy all CTMH
Colors used this month are kiwi, breeze, orchid bouquet, pink carnation and black also CTMH. I had to use up my stash of retired colors LOL
Other stuff used - 12x12 photo protectors by Pebbles Inc, time and date stamp from Office Depot and kraft cardstock from PTI
Thanks for looking and come back to see the other weeks and months!

Another blog!

Thursday, January 8, 2009

Hey! Come on over to my other blog. I'm doing a health journal where I'm logging my exercise and food intake. I also will be sharing tips that I think will be helpful.

When I'm not here I might be there! I plan on getting in that scrap room tonight to finish up my first few days on my Project 365. The idea came from Becky Higgins kit that was released a few days. Several people are doing their own thing because of the drama with the kit selling out and the Creating Keepsakes website crashing.
Anyway, I'm doing my own thing with one of CTMH new stamp set Key to my Heart.

I will be posting soon!
Thanks for stopping by,
Kisha

Amore paper pack!

Monday, January 5, 2009

This layout and card uses one of CTMH's newest paperpacks called Amore! I scored lines on the chocolate CS every 1/2 inch and also scored the tulip mat 1/2 inch vertically and horizontally. The love label, heart, and the bird are all pop dotted.

On the card, it's pretty simple but the scroll/wings on either side of the heart is acutally the feathery tail part on the bird I used on the layout.
The stamps sets used are all CTMH which include, key to my heart, love language and say it in style (sentiment).
Have a great day

Off to a new start!

Sunday, January 4, 2009

We are off to a new start. It seems like we have been traveling the entire two weeks DaMond and the kids have been off. We took two trip to Louisiana to scope out the area and look at houses.
If it seems like we just moved her to Oklahoma, well we did and we are moving again in February after DaMond graduates. The good thing about it is that we will be closer to family ( a little over 8 hours as opposed to 13 hours!)
I will be posting pics soon, i'm just being lazy tonight but wanted to chime in to let you know what's been going on.
