I finally tried it!

Tuesday, May 27, 2008

Hey ya'll, I hope you had a great weekend, we took it easy because i'm still a little sore but all in all is was great.
I have been wanting to try this box by Holly McMillen it's in her tutorial section on her blog - toyzhaven.blogs. I had to alter the measurements because of the size cards I had. I am happy with how it turned out and glad I finally tried it. I will definitely be doing more of these!
This is what I used to complete it:
CS - CTMH (honey, black, white daisy and cranberry)
Stamp sets - Say it in Style, Kindred Spirits and April Word Puzzle all CTMH and Priceless from Stampin Up.
Flower punch - fiskars.
Thanks for stopping by - see ya tomorrow!

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #17

Saturday, May 24, 2008

This post is short because i'm still sore from surgery but I saw the challenge yesterday and wanted to participate. I don't know if I did it justice but here it is anyway. Thanks Taylor, I love your challenges and will participate again.
I didn't use a cupcake because I've been wanting to use this stamp set from CTMH (paradise). The word paradise just puts me in vacation mode as that's all i've been thinking about lately.
Tell me what you think about scrapbookpal.com. I think they have great prices but maybe someone knows of a different site. If you know of a better site with great prices on all the things we love, please share.
Hope you all have a great weekend!!
Be safe

Father's Day card samples

Sunday, May 18, 2008

Hello, I hope everyone had a great weekend. I had a little time today to "play" with some new paper so I thought I'd share it with you all. On all three cards I used designer paper from my MME. I used CTMH playful flourishes, legendary moments and vintage father's day stamp sets along with cocoa and black ink. I'm not quite sure if i'm pleased with the cards but I had fun anyway using new paper! Don't ya just love paper! I sure do.
Thanks for visiting and have a great Monday!

Teacher Appreciation Gifts

Tuesday, May 6, 2008

These were made to be given to Cameron and Raegan's teachers. The bag and candle idea came from SCS and I filled the bag with Hershey Kisses and gift card.I wrapped the candle with silhouette creative basics paper from CTMH. The colors used were taffy, black and colonial white all from CTMH. The ribbon on the card is from CTMH, the ribbon and charm on the bag are from WalMart.
This is short cause I have to finish welcome home signs for Damond!
Enjoy and Happy Tuesday

Mom and Me - National Scrapbooking Day!

Monday, May 5, 2008

Hey everybody, i hope you all had great weekend. I had a fan-tab-u-lus time! My mom and I got to scrapbook together and that has never happened. She is usually babysitting while I crop but luckily i was able to get a sitter this time! I truly enjoyed it I enjoyed it so much I only got 1 yea one layout done ( the one posted below).
This week will be extremely busy for me getting ready for my husband to come home.

On another note, I just want to say that I have enjoyed visiting everyone's blog. You all have inspired me and I have been able to actually use my products and not hoard them as I have been in the past. I really think having a blog is fun and it keeps your ideas flowing. I hope you continue to visit my blog as I will yours. If you are visiting and I don't have your blog listed please leave a comment and I will pay you a visit.
Happy Monday!
Kisha (by the way i'm the one with the least amount of lei's - i couldn't stop saying the word paper!)

Felling Summery?!?! working with these colors!

Thursday, May 1, 2008

Good afternoon,
I've been busy today doing things to help prepare for our soldiers return. This morning I helped stuff bags for the single soldiers barracks once they return and man don't they have some yummies waiting for them. It was hectic but fun. I can't wait for my husband to return in a couple of weeks. Some of the guys are starting to return now and I am so happy for their families.
Although busy today I wanted to do something but I couldn't narrow it down so I did two items but used Sparkle's color challenge for both. The colors I used were sunkiss yellow, taffy and bamboo.
If you have any questions email me or leave a comment, or just leave a comment anyway! :)
Have fun scrapping and stamping!
(It seems like I'm always blogging at this time of day, guess why? - the kids are napping! ha ha ha)
